Co-owners Matthew Hickman and Lisa Hoffman founded Underground Baking Company in 2009 with the simple vision of making honest artisan bread and delicious pastries all made with 100% organic NC milled flour and other quality ingredients. It has been 8 years since the bakery was founded and boy has it grown. The original bakery was a tiny little 200 square foot space, but in 2010 we moved up to our space at 352 7th Avenue. Come in and see us Wednesday through Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00pm and get an idea of what we are all about!
